Description of strategy and solutions
1. How we moved through the project:
The primary task was to analyze the current backlink profile, as there were suspicions of a large number of spammy links. We conducted in-depth research of the placed backlinks through such services as Ahrefs, Semrush, and Se Ranking, formed lists of low-quality links, and, after agreement with the client, rejected them.
At the same time, we launched a technical audit of the website, analyzed competitors, and developed a project strategy.
2. SEO strategy of the project:
Having collected all the necessary data on the project and competitors, we formed the main directions of the SEO strategy:
- Technical and content optimization of the site
- Preparation of the semantic core
- Preparation and implementation of a backlink strategy
- Preparation and implementation of a content strategy
3. Stages of SEO strategy implementation:
Stage 1. Technical audit of the site:
We conducted a technical audit of the site and an audit of the Google Search Console and set out the tasks for the developers. The site was in a fairly good technical condition and did not require global work, but it was necessary to introduce a number of edits to the robots.txt file, increase the site speed and eliminate errors in the Google Search Console.
Step 2. Work on the backlink:
We analyzed our backlink profile and competitors’ links, based on which we formed our backlink strategy.
As mentioned above, at the beginning, we analyzed and rejected low-quality backlinks. We carried out such work systematically to constantly monitor the quality of the backlink profile, and also started placing new high-quality backlinks. The emphasis is on:
- outreach articles
- guest posts
- crowd links
Stage 3. Semantic core and content:
We created the site structure, received information on priority and prepared a complete semantic core. After that, we added queries to the Se Ranking position tracking system and started moving forward with on-page optimization.
At the same time, we prepared and agreed on a content plan for the blog, after which we started systematically posting new articles. We chose a mixed strategy of content preparation for the blog:
- writing texts by the client’s specialists
- generation of texts with their further processing by the client’s specialists
4. Summarizing the results:
At the start, the project was in good technical condition and already had quite good performance. However, there were problems with low-quality backlinks and partial relevance errors.
Thanks to systematic work on improving and strengthening the backlink profile, as well as ongoing work on On-page optimization, we managed to improve the site’s results.
