Description of strategy and solutions
1. How we moved through the project:
The site is large, with a large assortment, had a satisfactory technical condition and basic content, the main task was to strengthen the site to get maximum results in terms of traffic and positions. Therefore, we analyzed competitors in the niche and began to move in several directions at once: content and links.
2. SEO-strategy of the project:
Stage 1: Website audit and making necessary edits
Initially, we conducted a general audit on the technical part. We needed to implement a few small, but significant edits, such as the introduction of micro markup. Further, we checked the site for the correctness and quality of meta-tag templates, made a task to optimize titles and meta-descriptions with the addition of special characters for all types of categories. It was necessary to carefully implement any changes, as the site partially had positions in the TOP.
Stage 2: Preparation of semantic kernel and content
Since the site has a large assortment and did not require the creation of new categories, acted as follows:
- We divided the movement on the collection of semantic kernel and content preparation into iterations
- Together with the client we prioritized brands and categories
- We prepared semantic kernel and, in parallel, TOR for texts for priority categories.
- To maximize coverage, we prepared text templates for typical pages.
At the same time, we prepared a content plan and started writing articles for the blog.
Step 3: Working on the link profile
The project already had a well-established link profile, so in order to understand further movement, we conducted an in-depth analysis of the current links of the project and the links of competitors. We needed to determine
- the number of donors and backlinks we need
- the types of links we need to emphasize (crowdlinks and articles)
- link growth rate
- necessary budget
On the basis of these data, we made a link strategy and got to work.
